PUERTO VALLARTA – In a shocking development, a decapitated body was discovered on Wednesday afternoon in the southern region of Puerto Vallarta. As of now, the identity of the individual and the cause of death remain undetermined.

Canopy River is south of Puerto Vallarta. It’s where The Original Predator was filmed and a popular excursion location.

The local authorities were alerted to the gruesome discovery through a 911 report, prompting an immediate response from the police. On arriving at the specified location on the road leading to Canopy River, officers found the decapitated body, which was visibly being preyed upon by animals.

After the police’s initial examination, the State Prosecutor’s Office personnel arrived at the scene to commence preliminary investigations to identify the deceased individual. The only recognizable remains of the head were some skin traces; the majority was reduced to the skull due to the advanced state of decomposition the body was found in.

The enigmatic circumstances surrounding the death have spawned a myriad of questions. It is yet to be determined whether the deceased passed away due to natural causes, with the beheading resulting from animal predation, or if this was an execution carried out by an organized crime cell, with the beheading as an act of brutality.

The terrain is unforgiving and not for newbies. I have traveled it by Jeep, ATV, and Horse.

Law enforcement agencies work tirelessly to unveil the mystery behind the disturbing incident as they delve deeper into the investigation. Further analysis and forensic examination are expected to shed light on the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.

The unsettling occurrence has sent a ripple of unease among the Puerto Vallarta community, igniting concerns over safety among the residents. As investigations continue, the authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to come forward collectively to bring clarity and justice to the unsettling discovery.

This incident highlights the escalating need for strengthened security measures and vigilant community action to ensure the safety and well-being of the Puerto Vallarta residents.

I haven't traveled to this area with excursion groups in some time, because I don't have the patience so I drive. Each time I go now, I see more shady characters in these small little municipalities along the way. It’s obvious that CJNG has planted a flag.

    1. There are so many groups, family members, and individuals who dedicate their spare time to searching and come across another person and never find theirs.
